Our story
Nestled in the historic market town of Sherborne, The Studio was borne from a desire to create a refuge for the lively community of local artists – and others too. A place for all types of people to connect, exercise creativity, and step away from the stresses of the outside world, The Studio is an artistic fusion of ideas. Part exhibition space, part inclusive venue for workshops and creative classes, it’s a haven for like-minded friends, both new and old. The brainchild of conceptual artist and Sherborne resident, Victoria Young-Jamieson, The Studio is her home away from home, so come inside, say hello, and make it yours too…

Inside The Studio you will find Victoria’s home studio and gallery space. An established landscape artist known for her abstract and multi-layered techniques, Victoria, who has exhibited around the world, will have her art on display when there are no curated shows taking place.
Our Misson
The aim of The Studio is to host workshops run by artists for people of all experience levels. From casual evening classes to help those unwind after a busy day to local artists leading more serious craft-building programmes, The Studio represents creativity that’s open to all and is looking to forge collaborations with the best creative teachers out there.
