HOSTED - find out more
Looking for a fun, relaxed, and inspiring evening? Join us for Social Club - a welcoming, pressure-free space to explore painting, drawing, and printmaking at your own pace.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a practising artist looking to refresh your skills, this two-hour session is all about creativity, curiosity, and community.
Each evening will feature a theme or focus - from still life and landscapes to abstract explorations - but you’re always welcome to bring your own project. Work in your sketchbook, create a photo collage, experiment with paints, or simply draw inspiration from the materials around you.
Guided by Victoria YJ, you’ll have the freedom to play and experiment while enjoying gentle guidance, good company, and plenty of creative energy.
We’ll provide a variety of materials, creative prompts, and of course - tea, coffee, and cake!

Hosted
Our hosted sessions are relaxed and self-directed creative session at Studio Sherborne. Designed for those who feel confident working on their own but enjoy the energy of a shared space, this session begins with a short introduction and optional warm-up activity to spark inspiration. From there, you’re free to work independently, surrounded by like-minded creatives. Settle in, and enjoy a focused, supportive environment to create at your own pace.

About the space
All our workshops take place in our downstairs studio, which offers step-free access. Led by our talented community of local artists and tutors, each session includes all the materials you’ll need—though you’re welcome to bring your own if there’s something special you’d like to use.
We have a range of seating options to keep you comfortable, including high workbenches with stools, standard tables and chairs, and easels.
Tea and coffee are available at every workshop, and you’re always welcome to BYOB. Toilets are located on the ground floor.
Studio Sherborne is set in a characterful old industrial unit. While we’ll do our best to keep things cosy, the space can be a little chilly at times—so we recommend bringing an extra layer or two to stay warm and comfortable.
