Hire Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

  • A booking is confirmed once payment is received in full or a deposit is paid.

  • Full payment is required before the event date unless otherwise agreed.

2. Cancellations & Changes

  • Cancellations made 48 hours before the event will receive a full refund (specify terms).

  • Cancellations within on the day will result in no refund.

  • Any changes to the event date or details must be confirmed in writing at least 48 days in advance.

3. Access to the Space

  • The space will be available to you at the agreed time. Please respect the time allocated for setup and breakdown.

  • Early access may be available upon prior arrangement for an additional fee.

4. Damage & Responsibility

  • The hirer is responsible for any damage to the property, fixtures, or equipment during the rental period.

  • The hirer agrees to return the space in the same condition it was received, including cleaning up after the event.

5. Health & Safety

  • The hirer is responsible for ensuring that all attendees follow safety regulations during the event.

  • Please notify us in advance of any special requirements related to accessibility, equipment, or safety.

6. Insurance

  • Hirers are responsible for their own insurance, including coverage for accidents or incidents that may occur during their event. All hirers must hold Public Liability Insurance, a copy of which must be emailed to studiosherborne@gmail.com

7. Conduct

  • We expect all guests to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner. We reserve the right to cancel an event or ask individuals to leave if disruptive behavior occurs.

8. Cancellation by Studio Sherborne

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or re-arrange the booking, you will be notified as soon as possible, and a full refund will be issued. We are not liable for any further costs.

9. Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Hirers must leave the space in a tidy condition at the end of the event. A cleaning fee may apply if the space is not left as found.

  • Any major issues with equipment or facilities should be reported immediately.

  • Please use the recycling and black bin provided. If you fill a bin, please take this away with you.

11. Parking & Access

  • Parking arrangements will be provided, and we ask that these are adhered to. Please ensure vehicles are parked responsibly. We do not take any responsibility for damages or incidents that occur in the car park

12. Consumption of Alcohol

  • The consumption of alcohol is permitted on site, however any alcohol sold on the premises must have a Temporary Event Licence which must be arranged through the Dorset Council.

The Space


Furniture

Our space is furnished with versatile options to suit your needs. We offer art tables and a variety of seating, including chairs, stools, and a comfortable sofa. Additionally, we have a bar unit available, making it ideal for private views, workshops, or social gatherings.

Lighting

Our space is equipped with a variety of lighting options to suit any occasion. These include daylight bulbs, perfect for workshops and creative activities, gallery-standard spotlights ideal for exhibitions and displays, and color-changing paper lanterns to create a unique atmosphere and set the mood.

Kitchenette

Our kitchenette is equipped with everything you need for basic refreshments and food preparation. It includes tea and coffee-making facilities, a sink, a fridge, a microwave, and a small prep area. Perfect for keeping your event fueled and running smoothly! Tea and coffee is provided but please bring your own milk!

Wash Room

Located on the ground floor with toilet, sink and hand dryer.
