Exhibition Mark Beard
A 3-day timed open auction
The exhibition will feature around 20 original pieces, each one rich with meaning and visual intrigue. Mark’s work has appeared in four shops along Cheap Street in Sherborne, and three of his paintings were featured in The Sherborne Open in 2023. One of his artworks was also used as the basis for a student-led discussion and talk at Salisbury University, showing how his creations continue to spark conversation and curiosity.
Beyond the canvas, the exhibition carries a deeply personal cause. In memory of a close friend who tragically took his own life during the COVID pandemic, 20% of profits after expenses will be donated to the mental health charity Mind.
From being discouraged in the classroom to preparing his debut exhibition, Mark Beard’s journey is a testament to resilience, rediscovery, and the enduring power of creativity.
